Dead Silent Skimmer - Does it exist?

The vertex omega 200i that we use is unbelievably quiet. I don't think they are made any longer, should you find one though definitely consider it if noise is an issue.

Noise is relative but surrounding the pump it's superb with operation noise the only thing you'll hear depending on the volute setting is the copious amounts of air going in. Easily remedied with cheesecloth.

Do you still have the original pump with it? Or you’ve change it to something different

I’ve tried a bunch of brands over the last couple of decades and only one really stands out and that’s the bubble king line of skimmers (I’ve only had experience with the rd speedy type of pumps, not the cheaper x series).
I will however be replacing my supermarin 25p with a Deltec black line as it has some appealing add-on features…hoping that it will be as quiet m!

I own a deltec before the quality I don’t think its can compare to bubble king, I have a bk supermarin 160 right now, wish I would have bought one of the bigger version. I do agree with you deltec has more features I would like on BK as well and also wish bk has a float valve like OCTO line

My RK2 X-flo 6-3.5 is dead silent (even with the stand doors open). I have it paired with a Jebao DC pump.
