Is the pistol really active?
Have you tried water changes and did it make any difference?
Do the corals look stressed?

Really my tiger pistol was moving sand and make burrows constantly when not mottling. When my pistol died, no more sand storms, made a huge difference.

If not the pistol, and your using mechanical filtration then I would have to wonder if this cloudiness has anything to do with the use of Chemclean
and if that is the case then water changes, and charcoal. Keeping testing the basics for a couple days though, nitrates...

do you have lots of pods on your glass could be many beneficial things in your water column, not always bad stuff floating and swimming in the water column.
