Hi,

I've had my dendro for a while now. This morning, it was looking really wierd with yellow flakes coming out of the base. About 3 days ago, my heater was off and the temperature dropped to 70 in the tank (shame on me). This same thing happened last time I had a temperature drop, but it always went back to normal. This morning it was really bad though, what could it be? Heres a video: YouTube - Wierd dendro

Thanks!

Hmm, never seen that before but it is probably just a stress reaction. Hope it pulls through for you.

Yeah, I hope so too. It would make since for it to be a stress reaction to the temperature. Before I had a heater it did it twice, and when I moved it, it also did it. But I'm sure it was never as stressed as a 8 degree fluctuation. Then again, my other color of dendro was fine..

Sorry I dont have any advice, I just got a dendro colony and wanted to know... if it is slowly receding towards polyp will it come back to health as long as i feed. How much should they eat? DAily, every other day, weekly? The polyps are finally open more often now and I can feed more regularly. They had a big meal last night should I keep shoveling it in or give them a day to digest?

Feed them daily. I stuff mine, I'm sure you can overfeed them but I haven't found that limit yet. The more you feed the healthier they will be, just don't make them explode :D

it happened to me before i think i didnt feed it for a long time...just feed and feed it...as long as the tentacles are not falling apart or coming off..its fine just weird looking...
