I have just recently setup a 25 gal waterbox peninsula, I have run into a bit of an issue when it comes to cycling the tank, I bought a bottle of dr Tim’s one and only and the dr Tim’s ammonia to go with it, I added the ammonia and the one and only EXACTLY how it said to but now 1 day later when I test for ammonia it comes up at 0ppm.

API is generally not the best test kit. Salifert or redsea but I would redose ammonia. In my personal experience I never have used Dr Tim's ammonia. I use his one and only and I use ammonia with NO surfractants from ace hardware. My two cents you may have others with better info but my method hasn't led me astray thus far

Hey, I did mine with dr tim amnonia.
If your result is zero... and you did all correctly.

Two suggestions/possibilities to explore:

Test kit is bad:
take some salt water in a cup, drop an overload of dr tim drops and test again. If tests comes out as zero... them probably your test is bad.

Too little amnonia:
Await until tomorrow, if you are sure your test is fine.
Then test again. It is still zero, then add another dose. I read that sometimes this ammonia is not reacting quick enough.

If later on, you find out your amnonia too high... just await a few more days until it decrease. No need to panic lol
Just don't add any fish or corals.

That was my two cents.

Good luck!
