I was cleaning out the garage and found a box that had old DI resin in it. Of course the box had a hole, so resin spilled all over the garage floor. Some little plastic discs fell On top of the spilled resin. It was like they floated. I played with them for about 20 minutes. There was hardly any friction and a tiny tap would send the disc zipping across the resin. Apparently it wasn’t really magic and the resin simply acted as ball bearings under the disc.
Simple science, but it was fun and interesting regardless.
This got me thinking would DI resin work well on a shuffle board or air hockey table (Air shut off of course)? I don’t have either and thought I’d reach out to the community and see if someone was willing to risk the mess to try it out. If you give it a go, let me know the results. Anyone else have interesting stories related to these tiny magic beads?

A local bar near me has sand on a shuffle board table, basically the same effect...you'll come across parts where there is no sand and the pucks come to a hard stop
