My DI meter reads 2 it's not due for 6 month maintenance for 2 more months opinion should I change the media now?

I just changed mine for not dropping under 1. Some would keep going till 3 or 4. I have fairly clean water to start from showing 2 to 4 after ro. Your call! I wouldn't change di on a time schedule, trust your tds meter.
