In a 55 gallon tank how often can I get away with feeding a diamond watchman goby?
I can really only feed once a day with once a week being twice a day.
I have no refugium.
Is this going to be a problem.

If you're tank is well established You may be able to get away with once a day if you feed nutritious foods. Mine goes crazy over nori also. Just keep an eye on him so he doesn't get too thin.

I have one finishing up quarantine (no sand) tomorrow. He eats everything I put into the tank (black worms, blood worms, LRS, mysis, pellets) from anywhere in the water column. Once he's in the 220 DT he will have the sand bed as well. As with most fish, I think its very advantageous to get them eating in quarantine.

If you already have it eating prepared foods, you're in the clear. Once a day feeding along with the sifting it does should be fine. They sometimes don't eat prepared foods.

It's my belief that most of these starve or jump out.

So since it is eating now on frozen mysis it should be fine once a day feedings.
