بسم اللہ الرحمن الرحیم

Hi every one, my name is Hanin and its the journey of my very first (kind of) attempt at reef keeping. I say kind of because I have a year worth of experience maintaining the very tank that I'am about to set up in my house, some day I will share that story. I'm starting this thread in SW beginner Forum instead of members tank is because I consider my self a beginner who will be needing lots of help, so please put professor glasses on and advise and preach but remember to advice in Prof. Charles Xavier's voice because its the only voice that will go thru my thick skull .
Few thing about me:
if you think this rookie made a genius decision then its because of my 1 year experience.
and if you think this rookie made a terrible decision then its because I'm a rookie .
I'm little sarcastic.
English is 4th language and only one that I never learned in a class setting. so to all the grammar *****: Come at me BRO. no really do come at me.

My Tank:
75 Gallon Deep Blue EDGE Starphire front panel.
My sump is custom made 36/12/16 made by Goe's reef.
My stand is custom made by JMA's Woodwork.
My Equipments are: Cad Lights TIA 1150 skimmer
Cad Lights NR1 BP reactor.
Eheim Compact plus 3000 return pump.
2 Ecotech marine vortech mp10
20lb of miracle mud.
ATO.
am I missing something?

So my wife forced me to setup a QT tank few days back which I was planning to skip. The feeling is unreal when you find out that your better half is more committed than you're and I love her for that. She had me setup this meh looking tank in our apartment

So I have few Qs about this QT tank. Hopefully someone with proper knowledge will be able to help.
1: I was told to dose(nuke) the system with copper and keep the copper level between 1-2 and keep the fish in it for 3/4 weeks. Is that correct?
2: So copper knocks out everything accept fish? Is the good bacteria included or it(copper) kills it as well. If so than what's the point of seeding the sponge filter? And if not then will a HOB filter serve me better provided that I take the chemical(carbon/GFO) stage out and leave the mechanical(sponge) and biological(bio-max ceramic pieces) in? Because I have a Aquaclear 70 that is not being used at this moment.
3: can you use MB7 for seeding purposes?
4: Am I missing something?

So I just hired this young lady to help me clean the glasses. Very expansive if you ask me, 5 diapy changes, a ton of kisses and list goes on. But hey she's cute.
