I started a Build thread for the 120 Peninsula but felt this Max E 170 Cube was getting left out of the discussion.
That thread starts with the following:
I have been watching and learning on R2R since 2017.
Finally at the end of 2019 I started working on my first reef tank. When I got the go ahead from the Boss, I bought a used 90gal 48x18x24 with stand and also found a great deal on a Red Sea Max E-170 cube.
I really like this RS Max setup and am very much looking forward to getting this aquarium setup and running.
After many discussions as to what Fish, Coral and even a silly Dive Hat we had in a Goldfish tank years ago, we decided the 120 will be scaped and filled by my wife (The Boss) and the Cube is all mine! So we will see who ends up with what
In the mean time, we decided a customer cabinet was necessary to match the other tank. I've been working on the other tank primarily but decided to get all the finishing done at once since the smell is horrible!
Original RedSea Max E-170
Custom Oak stand and lid: Two coats of stain and ready to Polly!
Hope to get some finishing coats on this weekend and start on some plumbing.
