Ok, Im not the most savvy when it comes to the wiring of this DIM 4 controller. A friend built my LED fixture. He put whites on one channel and blues on another. This leaves me with two open channels. I am looking to add a couple T5 retro fits to the system, and I am curious if I can run them through the DIM 4 controller to control on and off functions. I do not want to dim them at this time. However, if this is an option then I would be interested, but I am sure I would need different ballasts. What I am most interested in is if I can run the T5 in conjunction with the DIM 4 controller, and if so, how I would hook them up. Would I hook the ballasts directly to the controller, or do I have to do something else to make them work? Do I need to get them power and have them hooked into the controller etc. Basically I want them to be controlled by the timer. Little help would be awesome.

On/off function can be achieved with a properly rated VDC trigger relay, dimming capabilities would be possible as well if your T5 ballast are dimmable via a 0-10VDC signal. I have my DIM4 turning on/off a relay that turns my pressurized cooling fans on/off on my DIY LED/T5 fixture. The DIM4 will not be able to drive the T5 ballast directly it can only be used to trigger on/off or dimming as mentioned above. Honestly though if you want to save all of that hassle just plug your T5 into a controllable outlet (if you have a controller) or just use a simple manual/digital plug in timer. Up to you though, I wired mine into my DIM4 so I could have only two power wires coming out of my retrofit for that stealth/factory look.
