New tank running now for 9 days and what looked like diatoms now looks like Dino. This is my first saltwater aquarium coming from freshwater. I set up the tank with lfs pre mixed water, live rock, and live sand. This seems so quick to have issues as I have not had time to do anything thing but let the tank do it’s thing. It’s a fishless cycle with instructions from lfs to dose seed and alpha by aquavitro. Parameters ph8 ammonia 0 nitrate 0 nitrite 0 salinity 1.024 any thoughts what is going on?

Conditions were right for it to happen. May have had some on the rock when you go it, and your conditions made it right for it to take off on ya.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
