so tank low down
50gal cube 24x24x20 just about 3 years old
started with live rock about 50 lbs. or so
lights are 1 Radion XR30 gen 5 spectrum is ab+ with intensity set to par meter around 370s near the top 1/3 of the tank.
simplicity 120 skimmer
small aqua life reactor, running a touch of GFO and Carbon "GFO is for heavy export out for feedings."
standard filter sock
apex Core return pump
figi coral plus sand medium size 2 inch sand bed
apex dose and trident,
ATO is saturated Kalkwasser dossed to compensate for evaperation
PH is 8.1 at night 8.3 daytime during photo period
nitrates and phosphates are tested every saturday befor water change nitrates range 3.5 to 5.5 phosphates 0.02 to 0.05
7 stage RODI system filter changed regualry membrains are about 4 moths old back flushed befor every batch
i tested for silacates they indacated 0
i use hanna ULR for phosphates and nitrate HR for the testing
hanna sality meter for the salt
salt is red sea blue bucket heated and mixed for 24hrs befor water change
lights are on for a total of 10hours with a 1 hour ramp up and down
i change 13 gallons of water weekly
blow off rocks with powerhead once a month befor water change
sock is changed every 3 days
feeding is also on a strick schedule to keep my nutrients close, measured everyday.
1/8 tea spoon of reef roids,reef chili, 7 days a week mixed in tank water, feeding is done just befor photo period
so i take 100 mill of tank water mix in the phosphorus food, along with 20 mils of live phyto "home brew" monday wensday and friday i add 5 mills of fuel aminos to the food , i i also use formula 1 pellets for the fish, it is also meashured 3 days a week very lil amount
sevral SPS growing very nicely along with 6 fish CUC sea cucumber , 3 inch clam, zoas a couple chalice corals,
alk is 8.5 to 9.0
cal is 420 to 480
mag 1322
if missed anything let me know, i had my phosphate bottom out 4 months ago and the dinos set in, id them then proceeded with increasing my phosphates to 0.90 did a couple man removals, plus everything else in the dino removal book minus a uv, the id last time showed uv would make a difference, they are back again not no were near as bad but i want to act fast, what recomendations do the pros have, i have been reefing on and off since 2002 and had them a total of 3 times thank you for reading my poor grammer and spelling
