I’ve been battling this for a while now, thought it was dinos but not so sure anymore.

Parms:
Phos: between 0.05 and 0.075 using Nyos test kit
Nitrate: 0.5ppm salifert

Any ID?

Ye think that’s the next step, LFS suggested I bring a sample in so I’ll do that this week as they have a microscope

I'm not sure from the photos. It could be a cyano strain.

How did it start? Did the Nitrate and Phosphate sit at zero for a while?

Once Dino's arrive, raising nutrients will simply feed them, you need something to outcompete them.

When in doubt, it’s fairly easy and safe to use chemi-clean to rule that pest out.

Just make sure you skim, extra air stone is helpful.

Nitrate low in my thinking. I’d bump that to 5-10ppm, pest stuff loves low/no or imbalanced nutrients

Ye I bottomed out nutrients. So should I dose silicates or something to get diatoms?

I had Dinos in my 13g Evo tank for over 6 months.

Yes, the thing that seemed to finally defeat it was dosing Silicate and keeping nutrients above zero (but not high) - around 5ppm Nitrate and 0.1 Phosphate.

I also dosed MB7 so I can't say whether it was one or the other or both - or something else all together.

It still took over a month to clear them up.

In your case I'd confirm the problem with a microscope before potentially making things worse.
