Hiya everyone,
What is the best way of removing pests (flatworms, bubble algaes, and their eggs and spores) from macro algae plants when transferring them between tanks?
I use a 50/50 3% H202/Tank water dip for corals, would this work for macroalgaes too? Essentially kill anything on them apart from the plant itself.
Thank you

Peroxide breaks down organics. Plants are organic. Odds are you will kill or damage the macros before you kill the bubble algae

That I dont know. Macro growers that sell, must take a lot of precautions to not introduce pests or problematic micro algaes into their systems. Maybe a grower would know. Algae Barn?

Thanks, I guess an RO dip could get the pests off but would have lesser of an effect on eggs/ bubble algae.
How would I get in contact with Algae Barn can I tag them or something?
I'm not in the U.S. so dont have much experience with them

Physical inspection and a quick rodi dip can help but if it's that bad I would not risk even moving it over ~Shaun K

John messaged me back said that he uses Furan and Bayer dips for macro. I’m looking for the science behind. Will post when I know more.
