Disappointed totally

I have been an apex fan from day one even been waiting on trident. My disappointment started with the fail of my first eb8 a few months back I did not take it that hard as it was my original so I installed a new one I had for my upgrade now I wake this morning to the new one flashing yellow and not working I’m very disappointed to say the least. Now I’m stuck with two no good eb8.
I now can see why everyone is going to GHL looks like I will be making the change also.

You tried calling apex? If it’s new should be under warranty I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t have a problem sending you another

I see you are a experienced user but at the same time you don’t give us a reason as to why. You don’t give us a reason what the issues were nor what you tried to correct the problems. Did you contact support? Did you have no success in contacting them. Did you have a bad experiene with them. Did both EB8’s fail within a very short amount of time after you bought them?
Please give us more details.
I have had my Apex classic for over four years with two very minor issues ( display only) and other that that extremely happy. I called/ emailed support they were very helpful login into my system correcting the problem even to the point of looking at other parts of the system and looking at my code and making suggests at how to correct it and make it better

Please let us help you understand the problem rather than just throwing in the towel

I will put in a ticket but I know what they will say which is that I have to send in the eb8 and they will send me a replacement once I give them some money to rent the one that they will send me to use until I get mine back from them.

Got ya never had to deal with their customer support I would hope that they would do it more like Ecotech one of my radions shipped with different color blue led’s and instead of requiring me to send my light in they just took my credit card mailed the light with a return label to send the defective light back within 30 days or of course they charge you.. but sorry to hear about your apex hopefully they will figure it out? Do you think it would have anything to do with your wall outlet..? Maybe power surges frying them or something?

No surge I have everything going to protectors. I’m going through the apex now to see if I can fix it on my own. From what I see so far it may not be the eb8 it may be a mod so I’m going there them one by one will know what it is in a few.

A word of caution on surge suppressors protection. Even these have their limits, but are a lot better than no protection. I had a lightninng strike at the power line pole at our house. It actually blew the fuse between the high tension wire and the transformer for the house. We were without electricity until the power company came out and replaced the fuse on the pole. I had two things damaged. One was a PC4 power bar for my aquarium controller. I have 5 in use. Three at the tank and 2 in the garage. One of the two in the garage did not make it. Also my surround sound receiver's sub woofer output pops every time you switch channels or inputs or turn the system off now. The only commonality is that in both cases items that were connected to each other that were powered from different outlets. All had surge protectors.
