Those of you who ship corals, how are you purchasing your labels? I have found that purchasing directly though UPS or FedEx is too expensive, so I have been using ShipStation. Overall I'm happy with it, but the labels are still typically $50 - $80 for overnight packages around 10lbs, so if there's a cheaper option out there I'd love to find it.

PIrate ship, goshippo and shipstation are all roughly the same in my experience. I did recently discover that shopify has much cheaper fedex rates, like $40 for overnight from east coast to west coast in a 12x12x10 8LB box. That same package runs me about 70-80 with fedex or UPS on the other websites.

I’m a coral buyer, not seller, but for unrelated eBay etc selling I’ve often been amazed by the savings from pirateship.com. Even my local UPS Store has remarked on the savings.

Once my free month of ship station was up, I started using pirate ship since the rates seem to be the same, without the monthly membership fee. Still, it costs me $75-100 for a box of 6-10 corals to go coast to coast overnight. That’s still way too much.

Yikes. I admit I don’t ship overnight, so can’t help there.

To get the Shopify rate you need to have a formal business & make the sale through their platform, right?
I don't know how formal it needs to be, but yeah you do need an account. Fedex must have some sort of deal with them to get such a good rate relative to goshippo etc..
