Hello this is my first post. I have just purchased two Aqua Max reactors to use as two separate algae reactors in my aquarium. Roughly 75g shallow cube. I also bought two sets of led grow lights in tape format from Amazon. I will use one to grow algae to reduce algae in my aquarium. Which as of the moment is really non existent except for diatoms on sand bed every now and again. I am getting a diamond watchman goby to help for that as well. I will use the second algae reactor to grow gracilaria algae for my tangs. I will update when I have them setup and the results.

I have included some pics of my tank in various states of work, and my fish room/water station.

thanks for checking in.

I will move this build thread over, my apologies, but here is the finished Aquamaxx algae reactor with minijet 1200.

I placed it temporarily on some rubbermaid containers until I can find or build and acrylic stand for it. Used Red led strip lights for growing plants. I bought Algae Barn chaeto and amphipods, which to my surprise based on others reviews came alive and well with no pests to the naked eye, but we shall see.

What is that you used to block the light? I am also trying to do the same but my reactor need to be inside the sump. So, I am struggling to understand the right material to use to block the light.
Any thoughts on what to use for a reactor inside sump to block light?
