I was contemplating building a mesh cover for my 40b. Instead I came up with another idea. I went to Home Depot and got a plastic egg crate light cover panel.

Then I just snipped it to fit my tank. It cut very easy.

After getting the proper size I chose to cut out a four inch strip in the middle to ensure my lifpght wouldn't be blocked at all.

After all was done it cost $12.00 and only took about 15 minutes to cut to size.
