Thought about adding this to my sump, I can DIY the holder, but looking to catch what comes into the sump from the small flow down my emergency drain. Can easily design it to overflow in the sump without restricting the emergency drain if the sock gets clogged. This would keep my sump cleaner, but was thinking it could bottom out my nutrient's. anybody else doing this.

I run a sock under my emergency drain. I definitely don’t have to clean it often. I do watch my nutrients and if they start going down I remove the sock for a while….
