DIY nano refugium

I currently have a 5 gallon nano tank with only one fish and a few hermit crabs and snails I would like to add a small refugium on top of the 5 gallon I wanted to add cheato and if not what else could I put in it here’s pictures of the my tank and the fuge

here I did a water test to see if it leaked at all and everything went very well I have good flow in the tank

and this is where I plan on putting it

Chaeto, caulerpa, dragons breath, pretty much any macro algae you want :)

how do you have this plumbed and what are you using for lighting?

I have a drain going into the back chamber and a return that is in the maid display

and my light is a 50w led buld

That’s pretty slick. I was lazy and used an AC70 but this is really cool.

Just curious - are you looking to add coral to your main tank or more interested in adding copepods, etc to your refugium?

Im definitely wanted to add more coral to the main display and copepods
