I'm building the snailman's 3" 4 foot tall skimmer. On the outlet of the skimmer where it is plumbed back to the sump, they use pvc pipe and compression fitting to adjust water level.
Why not use a gate valve on the outlet and plumb with hose. You could then use the valve to control water height. Is this a correct assumption? I'm teeing off my return to the inlet side of the skimmer. I'm guessing I would need a valve at the inlet too. What do you guy's think?
