Made a DIY cover for the 40B for less than $11

Started off by purchasing a window screen kit at HD for $9

I then searched around for mesh at local retailers and found this at HobbyLobby on sale, 50% off at that. Total for 1sq yard was $1.30

How is that mesh holding up and what type of material is it? Will you please point me to the product on HobbyLobby.

What hole size is that mesh? Looks awfully big. Big enough for fish to jump through. 1/4" like those on BRS, shouldn't be any bigger then that.

There’s 3-4” of completely uncovered area on the back of the tank so the hole size probably doesn’t matter much when they have such a large area to jump through already lol

Good catch! Didn't see the gaping hole in the back.

Nice DIY though. I can never seem to get the netting tight without warping the frame.

The mesh hole size is 1/4”

Pictures look deceiving

It’s more like 1”

The wide angle lens makes images look larger than what they appear, hence “wide angle” ;)
