Hi Team,

I was advised by nearby saltwater aquarium store that my purple tang prefers high flow and my bicolour angelfish prefers low flow. Apparently this holds true for all tangs and angelfish.

No doubt tangs enjoy high flow but thoughts an angelfish doing best in low flow tanks ?

If you have enough spots in the rocks where there is no direct high flow so the angel can get a rest you are good :). My regal doesn’t really care to swim in high flow

There is absolutely no basis in the claim that angelfishes want low flow. Many of the angelfishes overlap substantially in habitat with tangs. There is even a tang that mimics angelfishes and live amongst them. Totally wrong.
