Do Firefish hate current?

My firefish N. magnifica never strays from a 1 square foot area around his hidey hole....until today. I was doing a 25 gallon WC and kept the pumps off for another 15 minutes or so to treat a couple of aiptasia that have cropped up. I looked up from the couch and there was Alfalfa (his name) all the way at the other end of the 6' tank. Just as relaxed as could be. Why would he do that?

Mine does not like flow either. Not sure why.

My reef tank is dominated by Gobies and Firefish. When I shut off my MP10 even my Yasha Gobies started cruising around the tank. I now run it much lower speed and now both corals and Gobies seem fine.

I have a purple firefish that won't come out of his hole if the flow is too much near the entrance, but other than that doesn't seem to mind moderate flow. On the other hand my helfrichi doesn't seem to care what the flow is. He will sometimes swim right in front of my wave maker even when its on full (1000gph). Crazy little guy :)
