Or do I just have a neurotic Turbo Snail?

IMG_20241125_191747.jpg

He clearly enjoys creating a path for himself at sand-level, but I have no idea why. Is there something particularly tasty at sand level? Do I need to add another Turbo to keep him company?

Backstory: This was somebody's "regret" tank that I bought fully cycled and moved to my house a little over a week ago. Aside from a few hours during the moving time period, it's been running. The snail came from another tank in my house. I've moved the snail to some delicious-looking algae on the rocks, but he keeps returning to his sand-level path. He's not hurting anyone, but the tank looks weird with a shallow trench dug around the perimeter.

Ideas?

We have a snail that will eat just a little bit of algae, then retreats to his corner at the end of the day. His corner has algae and everything there, but he doesn’t touch it haha. I think you have a snail that is just being a snail.

I had a turbo that for weeks just did circles around a power head… snails gonna snail I guess
