I stopped by petland LFS chain store most of the time there tanks are filled with bland corals and sick fish. BUT i spotted this hammer labeled as orange wall hammer. Its big prob 6inchs the skeleton of the piece. price 129.99 after talking with the mng who had no idea really how nice the coral was i asked her to just put the blue t5s on. and oboy it was bright and nice with orange and greenish hues almost rainbow like, i am excited i think ill buy it today and haggle them down to 100$ I may not return cause a 100$ coral is def not wife approved. Should i buy this coral and be happy and have the wife not so happy or just try to forget this beautiful hammer is just a few miles from me and not in my tank. lol

Knowing what I paid, sounds like it could be a nice price for an orange hammer (who knows if I overpaid). Of course "happy wife, happy life." I have a hard time passing in corals so I may not be the best to ask, but I will tell you that the orange hammer I have definitely stands out in my tank and is very cool. Also though, never bought corals from a petland so not sure how that is.

would need pics.. i went to a petland in dunnwoody on sat night and they didnt have jack. it was pretty nasty :o)

99% of the time there is nothing worth a dime but every once and a while they get a gem. I think they order boxes like 1000$ box and a few gems are in it rest is crap. They sell 2000$ dogs and don't care to much for the fish section. I will post pics once I get it. They open in a hour

Can't wait to see it. You have me contemplating purchasing one from my LFS this afternoon for my second tank. It's $249 :)

Sounds like a showpiece, and a $100-120 showpiece can be very hard to find. That is a score.

it will be a perfect trading piece :)i am sure someone will be willing to trade for that...i got mine through a trade and i feel like i hit the jackpot because i only paid for shipping, though i traded a bunch of zoas/palys but i didnt mind because my tank is overgrowing with them...but the orange hammer i got?i dont think i will be able to get one...first it sells quick...second its expensive...i got lucky to have found mine too :)but youre even way lucky because that thing is huge!!!
yours looks better cause it looks yellow...
here is mine that i wanna share...
