Do I need to take Cal/Mag/Alk int consideration for cycle/ the bit of my tank where there are no fish?

Those parameters are for coral after the cycle.
Fish are temperature and salinity, both also after the cycle when the fish are added.
That is what I thought, I think I am going to do a FOWLR 55 until it is a really established system

Not trusting myself to make water in the beginning, I thing I am going to buy from my LFS

Makes sense and often just easier when getting started. I would suggest getting a refractometer or other method to test the salinity yourself. Never be at the mercy of a screw up at the LFS causing you issues.
