okay so just to be clear AFR shouldn't lower my alk but it may raise it?
no #38 point wasn't to make my tank more mature. Please show where i implied that? I doubt AFR would do that but rather provide a trace element for my coral growth.

Alk will naturally lower and deplete as corals use it. Same for calcium

All for Reef is a supplement that contains alk, calcium, and trace elements. You add it to replace these items.

It will not lower your alk. It will raise it. But if your using the product, and alk is still lowering, you need to increase the daily dosage

The bottle has a formula. You are supposed to measure your daily alkalinity drop (without using the product) to figure out your tanks daily consumption, and then dose the necessary amount of AFR to compensate each day

Yes, AFR is an alkalinity additive.
