Do yellow tail damsels kill eachother?

I had 10 yellow tail damsels in my 150 gallon tank with a 30 gallon sump, the tank is full of rocks and crevices so I was sure that they could establish their own territories, for 2 weeks they were absolutely fine, but after that I started to see 1 disappearing by the other, is this common? Besides my high nitrates (which is not affecting my snails) affect more hardier fish? I definitely did notice the nipped fins, the tank is about 1.5 years old established with growing coralline algae

I refer to damselfish as devil fish. They are mean and nasty and do not fit into a community tank. They need to be with other aggressive fish. Now with you having ten...I had to go back and look, yes, ten.....I think the odds are against you. The advantage is a large tank with loads of hiding places, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Are there any small schooling fish that don't kill eachother? My damsel fish collection has gone from 10 to 5 which is absolutely ridiculous

Had 9, 1 left. Having luck with 5 lyretail anthias, and 7 blue green chromis
