So I'm looking at one of my tanks and began thinking:

Is it necessary to adjust the clock on your tank to adjust for daylight savings time? I've never worried about it. I mean, the fish aren't hip to the time (are they?).

I would enjoy feedback from others on this.

Thanks.

I'm going to have to. My tanks light schedule is based around my work hours. Left as is, tank will be dark when I leave and they won't get their breakfast. :)

... to accommodate the work schedule. That's a good reason.

I just disabled it. It was automatically enabled on my Apex and never really cared, but recently set my lights, heaters, and moonlights to follow the Apex season tables customized to Ngerulmud, Palau. Why? I found the data for it quickly and it's near where lots of our stuff comes from. Note that the times are adjusted so that my "daytime" is during the evening so we can see it while we're home.

The only automation I have is with my AI Primes. They swapped over and lo and behold, my clownfish were like 'what the heck I am not supposed to be awake yet!' for like two days, but has now adapted. XD
