Do you name your fish?

only ever named 2 fish-DUMB AND DUMBER after they went carpet sufring.

every fish i've ever named has died. in fact my neighbors daughter just named my blue throat trigger like a week ago and it's now dead.

I also have a six line wrasse that thinks it runs the whole tank so I named it Saul, which I felt appropriate because this fish seems to believe he is entitled to rule the tank though he will not always.

I think he should be named cat food. Seems like a good name and fate for when he is caught. J/K :D

Doc - Yellow tang (surgeonfish)
Sue - Diadema Pseudochromis
Pepe - Pink Skunk Clown
Linus - Sixline Wrasse

Yea... it's dumb.

GusGus = an engineer goby...he came with that name
Lucky = Scissortail goby that dove out of the tank and landed in a bucket of the water he was acclimated in...and survived for days

Agatha = unknow tang as in Agatha Christie mystery
Ray= Royal gamma as in gamma ray

Bozo=Clown goby

I don't name my fish. I have aquariums for the beauty and hobby of the system. Creatures and coral come and go. However I do name my tanks but that is only to keep up with them on my Reef Tank Pro app where I record perameters and activites.

I had 2 pairs of clowns named Barnum and bailey and the wringling brothers. Notice the key word had. I think its a bad omen to name fish.

I don't, but my wife and kids felt the need to do so. I had a maroon clown for 10+ years and she and her mate were named Roonie and kid rock...

the current batch is referred to by Mr. Banggai or Mr Wrasse, etc by my 4 year old.
