Does carbon in a reactor really make a visual difference?

I am curious if anyone here has actually seen a visual difference when switching from carbon in a media back vs in a reactor

definitely made a noticeable difference in a media bag alone for my 30g important thing is it should be placed somewhere in the sump with high flow. mine is sitting close to my return pump so that the water getting sucked in has to pass by it before re-entering my tank.

I am thinking about an in sump reactor (I hate having tubing) but my media bag is currently hanging in the small chamber of my fiji 20 (or 24 I can't remember) sump where the water enters the sump as seen in this pic
