So at my store weve had a plague of red Planaria in one of our sales tanks.(yes, it's on everything in there is on hold ATM) So, I have to start the daunting task of removing these little *******. When being siphoned off of a rock or glass, will they release toxins if they're still alive? I know the toxins related to flatworm exit and such are the dying worms ,not the product.
Tldr, live flatworms release toxins? Yes?/ No?

You can go ham on the live ones. Even if they were releasing toxins, you'd be sucking it up with the water.

I doubt the toxin is anywhere near palytoxin in seriousness. I'd siphon out hundreds and throw them in the trash without a second thought when I had them back in the day. I'd just dip affected colonies instead of poking at them but that's me...

If they did start to release toxins while they were alive, I would say that you would have already seen livestock death at this point. I believe that its only when they die.
