Hi,

Does anybody know if Two Little Fishies Metasorb will remove Tin?

I don't believe so, but it's hard to say. I had good luck removing tin with Cuprisorb.

Did you have any issues with it lowering levels of beneficial metals within your tank?

I expect it does, but I've not seen any data on it. many metals, including copper, are desirable at one range of levels and undesirable at higher or lower levels.

Metasorb removed tin in my tank. A cheaper alternative is CuLator, which is used in spas. It is exactly the same stuff and you can get it on Amazon. When you get it, it’s kind of a weird product. It’s a little cloth bag with a couple of largish glass beads. The beads contain a polymer that absorbs a variety of metals. I didn’t have any adverse effects from them.
