Sorry about the long delay: here is an update!

Potty problem is severely reduced, but still present. She still wants to hold her bowels shut until the last minute, which either causes is to have to give up and leave to go do what we need to do or stay out with her for at least an hour, even if she holds it in all day and begs to go. Its like her intestines and bladder are 5X larger than they should be.

She still will not stay in a cage without hurting herself trying to get out and we never punish her in it...maybe she is claustrophobic??? Is that a problem with dogs?

Aggression is GONE. She hasn't bit anything but her own toys and I can wake up and not get but in the bed. How did we do this??? We rescued a kitten from a tornado we he Hadrian summer and Alli (the dog) literally just snapped into mommy dog and is pretty much perfectly not aggressive.

Here's a new one: she now eats grass every morning until she pukes no matter what. I can tug her leash and she goes back to the grass like it is the last pedal growing. Its almost as if she is a Bulimic dog. She isn't even fat.

She also still goes nuts on guests and opens her bladder out of excitement. All I can do Is lock her in the back for an hour while she calms down and then have her meet people outside so the pee just goes on the deck or grass. After she greets the she is just her normal lazy self.

Sounds like she may have anxiety issues. Tough to say without seeing it, though.

It's certainly a form of anxiety. Its not separation anxiety, its not from abuse, she eats well unless it is raining, then she sleeps...

She gets attention, exercise, a playmate (well 4), and they never have shown signs of dislike to each other...even the cats sleep with her on occasion.

I have tried leaving her out on the long leash alone to see if she just wanted to potty in privacy since she only goes on the floor when we aren't around.

Another interesting thing: my malamute/wolf will literally wake up and puke with no warning...which isn't his fault and is normal with dogs.
The subject of the issue (Alli) will wake up, burp, make a weird puke face, then run to the kitchen and barf on the tile or if we are near she will hold it long enough to leash her and take her to the lawn to release. Now why won't she potty like that lol? Dawggggsssss

If they're puking that much I would be concerned about what you're feeding. Which food do you use?

The malamute rarely pukes and is a perfect beast of health and obedience.
The vet said there is nothing PHYSICALLY wrong with the beagle/lab.

I use Kent Farms, in the summer they get tasty nuggets (which is not as full of protein) because they both get too hot to do much of anything but lay.
Spring, fall, and winter they get the Green bag that has extra protein because the malamute actually has a strict sled dog (on scooter) routine and the beagle/lab

Its the best food around here. The vet uses it on his children (he calls his dogs). They love the food Better than everything else on the shelf too.

She will not puke at all if she does not eat the grass. I also do not use any chemicals on the lawn or garden. Pure water and bats do the fertilizing. The dogs may also add to the ground nutrients lol. At least the pee does...there are rings of turbo charged grass where ever the malamute relieves himself.

No people food. They share a banana every other day or so as well which is great, they seem like they got much quicker and stronger after about a month of that with their exercise. They get shots, hosed down in the back with all natural dog soap, and they have not had but 3 fleas all year. I think mint plants deter fleas...we have a mass quantity around the perimeter. That's my only guess...no flea medicine or eve collars.

We use baking soda based carpet powder and oxyclean shampoo.

Its a mental disorder mixed with some type of reaction to grass...that's about the most the vet and I could come up with, we don't have any canine psychologists in this part of the state...the farmers would burn them at the stake
Like witches haha. But really she's mental...I have actually made a pepper spray to must grass before she comes out but the dumbo loves it!! She makes a funny "bite with just the back teeth" face and munches away.

Specifically this disorder is called "Pica" according to webmd. Hers is either a soil/grass type, a compulsive type, or a mixture.
