Can anyone share their schedule for dosing these 2 additives? I remember seeing a thread with it in there (Think it was one of Pnoy's threads), but don't remember exactly where it is. I am also dosing Vodka, and it is going well. Been dosing for over a month- close to 2 months now. No negative side effects. I have a 40br with a 20H sump. Total water volume is about 40 gallons I would think. Other equipment is a MRC-1 Ca Reactor with an added chamber, Euro Reef skimmer (don't know the model number) and a TLF media reactor running carbon. The plan it to turn off the skimmer and dose at night, but I am not sure of the dosages that have been proven to yield results. Any input is appreciated. Thanks

Forgot to mention the AAs are the Brightwell brand AAs.

I'm also dosing vodka and it too seems to be going smoothly. I'm not dosing AA but I've been reading more. I don't know how good it will be to leave your skimmer off all night with vodka dosing due to the excess it removes and helps oxygenate the water. I may be overly cautious though. I'll be following for the smart crowd to chime in :)

You are close by. Are you interested in being in the East TN reef club? You should chime in on our club forum here.

I have been waiting for someone to chime in here for awhile, but no luck. I figured a few things out. I don't think I will ever leave my skimmer off for longer than 10 mins or so. And the is when I am adding ReefSnow and microbacter

I actually attended the meeting at Aquatic Marine. Many I talked with were nice some came off unfortunately as a little snobbish or condescending. As a whole I enjoyed myself and have considered joining.
Nice equipment though! I have a 180 and I don't even have a ca reactor lol

That's not good to hear. Overall, we are OK people, but it will take a meeting or two to start getting to know everyone. Sorry to hear that you thought that. It was probably me you are talking about-- I am very shy around new people.

Oh, and a ca is not always needed. I have one on my 40br, but the effluent rate is at 1 drop/ 3-4 secs. Talk about overkill of equipment. :)

I use the Zeovit products (AA & Sno) And have had very good luck with them
I dose 3x a week @ 5drops AA & #ml of the Sno I have 270 total gallons and that amount seems to work for me. I know people that use the Brightwell Products but not sure of the dosage?? Do you have any problems with the Vodka dosing...HA or Cyno? I have also heard that the cheaper Vodka works better????
