Is there any reason I wouldn't be able to mix up my batches of high pH alk, calcium, and mag from the bulk reef recipes and make a 10g into my container? Or would it eat the seals?

I want to keep it next to my tank but hat the way the jugs look sitting there. Thinking if I got a tube of silicone caulk I could add baffles to a tank and just mix and dump into the container.

Thoughts?

That should be fine (assuming the baffles adhere strongly to the silicone), as long as there is no leakage between the sections into each other. :)
