Talking something similar to this? Pretty neat manifold that I haven't seen before.

Looks like they are using a chamber with a bigger cylinder than the hose to create a pressure drop which will allow the liquid to easily flow in through a check valve? Aluminum is a no-go though in reefs as stated above.

Yep, that's the manifold. As mentioned above it's aluminum so that poses a problem. Chihiros makes decent products some of which I've used in the past. The company has more of a market presence in Europe and Asia - less so here in NA.
