So if you already have an apex would you prefer to use the standard dosing pump and control them with the apex or use a stand alone dosing pump such as bubble mangus or libra. i have the apex now and honestly have no idea what i will control with it , been sitting in the box for about 6 months while i pondered the mounting options. thanks i really value opinions on this.

If you already have the APEX I wouldn't buy a separate controller for dosing, just get some bulk reef supply dosing pumps. I have a bubble magus and it works just fine, but my GF gave me an apex for Xmas and I run a kalk doser and vodka doser off it, I have 2 part and amino acids with the BM doser. The BRS dosing pumps are much higher quality than the BM pumps so if you already have the apex buying the BRS pumps is less money for better pumps.

The only issue is if you start dosing lots of different things. The apex outlet space is a precious thing to me and I hate to use them all up. Also for the low voltage pumps you have to use either outlet 4 or 8 on the base apex powersupply so you are limited to 2 pumps unless you get an expansion.
