Dosing question

Hello friends.

I am new to 2 part dosing and looking for some advice.

I have started consistently testing my alk now that I have increased the coral stocking in my tank and am not entirely sure how to approach dosing.

From the last 2 - 3 days of testing I go from 7.4alk down to 7.2 in 24hours. So I dose 5ml of my 2 part and it goes back up to 7.4. and the cycle repeats. 7.4 after dose, 7.2 the next day. so I know I am consistently using 0.2 alk in a 24hour period.

I want to get my alk close to 7.6 - 7.8 give or take, but I have read it is not good to do more than 0.2 increase per 24 hours.

If I lose 0.2 a day and dose to bring it up to 7.4.... how do I get it up to 7.6, 7.8, or 8.0 if I shouldn't be dosing more than 0.2 a day.. which is what I dose to get it back to 7.4.

Slightly confused. Should I dose 5ml (+0.2alk) once every 12hrs for the next 2 days to bump it up, then back to 5ml once a day.

Any tips would be helpful. Please note that I am manually dosing for now. Auto dosing is next on my list of items to pick up once I am able.

Thanks. I’ll bump it up to 7.8 today which is a 0.6 increase then maintain it there.
