So I admit to being a lazy reefer. Years ago I dosed kalkwasser with a Deltec Nilsen Reactor (I actually still have said reactor down stairs). Lately I've been contemplating dosing kalk on my newly established nano, and that got me thinking about restarting kalkwasser on my 240. Currently I have a 44 gallon Brute garbage can that is connected to a Bubble Magnus T01 that doses 6 liters of water a day into my sump. My question is if I put lime in the Brute container at a level low enough so as all the lime is dissolved but no where near saturated a) will there be problems and b) would it actually serve to reduce my B-Ionic usage. I believe it would very slightly reduce my B-Ionic usage, but am I missing some considerations?

Thanks to all!

Sounds like a great plan. I prefer static reservoirs over Nilsen reactors for kalkwasser. Much easier to control the strength of the solution.
