Your tank is beautiful! Thanks for sharing the updated pics. It seems to be bouncing back from irma pretty well. Good luck! Looking forward to your next posts.

Thanks for asking Rev. Tank is doing really well. Things have been pretty stable. Here are a few quick pictures.

Beautiful tank and great thread. Read all 20 pages this afternoon, not sure how I've missed this before. What "sliders" did you put under your stand at your original home that allowed you to slide the tank and stand into place?

Thank you so much for the kind words.

For the sliders, I used several of the large sized magic sliders. They were great, other then when we hit a grout line, but even then it was manageable.

Wow! Been a while since I’ve been on. So glad to see that your tank looks amazing! How are the idol and the clown trigger treating the tank? Clown triggers are one of my favorites but I’ve always thought they can be risky....

I cannot believe it’s been four years since I last updated this thread. This tank has lived through hell in that timeframe. Two hurricanes, an alkalinity spike, an anptasia outbreak, and it is now covered in blue clove polyps. I have been running radion halides for a while, but the heat and power consumption is getting to be a challenge.

That said, I am re-engaging with the tank and I’m about to do a full tank reset. This last hurricane killed the last of the LPS, and most of the zoanthids. The only thing remaining in the tank, are the blue clove polyps, two colonies of zoanthids, and a ton of aptasia. Even the giant green leather died in this last hurricane.

Today I ordered four Kessil A500x LED lights to replace the Radions and reefbrite LEDs. I am going to make 300 gallons of water to prepare for a large water change. I am going to treat the tank for the blue clove polyps, and then I’ll order some aptasia eating Berghia. It’s not going to be a quick turn around, but I am confident the tank will be much better six months from now than it is today.

I will post some pictures in a few moments, and I promise, when you compare them to what it looked like four years ago it will be heartbreaking. At least I know for me it is.
