Howdy all, we are in the early stages of downsizing our 125 gallon long tank to a 90 gallon cube. In order to do this how long do we need to wait to transfer fish, rocks and corals to the new tank? Can we do it the same day or do we need to have the tank up and running before hand. I know I need to use new sand, but just want to confirm that the new tank doesn't need to cycle since we are bringing over the established rocks. Thank you for your help and advice.

Also, if anybody has a 90 gallon cube tank would love to see some inspirational displays. Thanks!

If you're bringing over all fully cycled rock from an existing system you should be able to move everything over the same day. Use what ever mechanical media you have running in the older tank. Don't over feed initially, test daily for a week and have sw water made up. Consider an ammonia badge just to be safe.
