I’m just about to add my ammonia to start the cycle but I have two questions...

1. When I add my ammonia do I just put the amount of drops in going by the display tank measurements (120L)

or

Add up display tank, sump and plumbing measurements (196L) then figure out how many drops per gallon I need?

2. how many drops have everyone put in for their tank per how many litres/gallons there are. 180 drops seem excessive but I’d like to know everyone else’s opinions..

when I did a fishless cycle with dry rock, I went off of the instructions but didn't do it all at once. Half the dose & test my water then did the rest based on my total water volume, minus a few gallons tbh. I did not use Dr. tim's but most ammonia's have a "don't go over #ppm"

That’s great advice I’ll be sure to do that!!
