Why not just follow the direction on the bottle?
Directions on bottle very vague.. Watched a couple of his videos.. But they were recorded like 823 years ago lol was just curious.. Wonder if live rock vs dry rock had a different or not but no worries.. I got nothing but time.. Just sounded strange to add 4 drops and test 2 days later.. Every tank is different so I'm sure that's what the dealio is
The only issue is that sometimes the ammonia chloride itself is a little weaker than the next bottle, like a quality control thing. But you need to use much more than 4 drops in a 33 gallon tank. Try to get the ammonia up to the 1.0 ppm to 2.0 ppm level. You would do this only with dry rock, if you have live rock it's already cycled
Ya it's all dead rock and sand.. Rather it this way to avoid pest and what not.. I don't mind if it takes 2 or 3 weeks to cycle just found it odd.. That add 4 drops per gallon. I mean I understand it for real.. No tanks the same.. Don't over do it but by day 3 over do it lol I'll go by his write up and just go with it..
