Hey just curious if anyone has maintained one of these if if so can you post pics or tell me about your experiences with this little creature

I've read a lot on them, always wanted to keep one. Was up at the LA wholesalers and found a small cute guy, picked him up-by the time I got home he was dead :( so no in -tank info. They do get big, they prefer a decent amount of sandbed, and expect them to eat just like a mandarin dragonet-basically nothing you put in the tank, just the livestuff already in there.

Sorry to hear that about your little guy I've been thinking of getting one for 3 years my mandarins and pipefish are always fat so he'd probly do alright I just hate fish dying in my care

Yeah, that's always a deterrant for me getting stuff... It could just be due to their feeding requirements (like dragonnets)

I think that dragonnets are/was listed on dfs as "expert only".

I always thought that was funny, as dragonets require no special care-just a suitable setup. Mine are both in 30 gallon tanks, and have been in their respective tanks for a year or so. I don't take care of them at ALL. Just ignore them and let them do their thing.
