Driveway markers as support rods

Looking to do my aquascape soon and saw something interesting where a reefer Coral Euphoria was using I believe fiberglass driveway markers as extra support/frag plugs. Can someone tell me if this is a safe product please?

I use the white ones. For one use or another, I've had them in my systems since 1988.

Cheap, easy to cut - what's not to like?

I have the yellow ones in my tank for 8 years, no issues.
