Dry equipment okay to use in tank?

I have a mp40 wet side I got from a buddy that has been dried for weeks. I cleaned it with hot water just now and wanted to know if anything negative would come of It if I were to put in tank? Thank You!

As long as it has dried out and the magnet seal is still intact I can't think of a reason why it would leech anything.

It's basically brand new, I just meant about diseases and such from the dried residue

if its been cleaned and dried properly I can't imagine anything aquatic would live in the plastic out of water.
