strongly considering converting my 8gal BC over to a DSB. water depth is about 11", adding 4" of sand would leave me with about 12 x 9.5 x 5 inches of swimming space.
Stocking would be obviously very light. only have a clown now, will maybe have a small goby or something like that, but nothing else.

Ignoring peoples personal preferences on DSB's, what are your thoughts?
This is a work tank, so i want as little maintenance as possible.

Welcome to R2R! Honestly, it seems like a waste of space to me. I would even go bare bottom and maximize space. Water changes are the best method in my opinion for that small of a tank.
