DSR reefers! What's the best pump for a power filter?

Question for all the #DSR folks! What's the best pump for a power filter? Which ones do you recommend? I want to build one, but all the pumps I own are closed on the intake, so I'll need to buy a pump.

can one just use any old return pump or power head? Or?

I went with sicce syncra 0.5 for my reefer 170. Filter needs changing every three days or it starts spewing micro bubbles constantly.
